Shazam 2 Director Is Done With Superhero Movies, For Now

Following Shazam! Fury of the Gods’s first-weekend box office numbers, which came in below expectations, director David Sandberg took to Twitter to announce he’s done making superhero movies for the time being. The movie earned $30.5 million in the US and Canada over the weekend, which was down 43% compared to the original movie’s first-weekend ($53.5 million) back in 2019.

“On Rotten Tomatoes I just got my lowest critic score and my highest audience score on the same film,” Sandberg tweeted. “I wasn’t expecting a repeat of the first movie critically but I was still a little surprised because I think it’s a good film. Oh well. As I’ve been saying for a while now I’m very eager to go back to horror (as well as trying some new things). After six years of Shazam I’m definitely done with superheroes for now.”

Sons Of The Forest – 3D Printer Location And Craftable Items Guide

Sons of the Forest has numerous points-of-interest for you to check out. One, in particular, has a rather nifty device. Here’s our Sons of the Forest 3D Printer guide to help you find this machine so you can craft new items.

3D Printer location in Sons of the Forest

To find the 3D Printer in Sons of the Forest, you’ll need to bring out your GPS Device by pressing the “M” key. The screen will rotate depending on your character’s orientation. As such, to make it simpler, let’s say that you’re at the helicopter crash site and the mountains are to the north. You should see two caves: one directly south of that area and one to the southeast. Likewise, there should be a green dot close to the southeast cave.

You’ll want to head to that green dot (which can be seen in the image below). Once you’re close enough, you’ll see that the place is overgrown with weeds and vines. However, there should be another opening here. Enter it and you’ll arrive at a dark corridor. At the end of the hallway, you’ll stumble upon a rather cozy spot: a rest area that has the Sons of the Forest 3D Printer.

How to craft items using the 3D Printer

There are five job listings in total, including the very senior Creative Director role suitable for an individual that can oversee the project from this early stage to its release. Other job listings include a Systems Designer specifically with multiplayer mechanics and system design in mind, as well as a Story Lead that will help craft a narrative, lore, and scripts. Listings for an Art Director and VFX Artist round out the post, which seems in indicate that the beginnings of this multiplayer endeavor still need need to take shape.

Shang-Chi Is The First Pandemic-Era Film To Pass $200 Million At US Box Office

To say that the pandemic has been tough on theaters is an understatement. We’re still working through it, but the success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is proof that movie theaters aren’t going anywhere just yet. Marvel Studios’ martial arts flick has become the first film to cross the $200 million mark at the domestic box office, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Unlike Disney’s other spring and early summer offerings, Shang-Chi premiered exclusively in theaters. Black Widow, Jungle Cruise, and Cruella both debuted simultaneously on Disney+ Premier Access and in theaters, calling any box office numbers they scored into question.

THR notes that Shang-Chi has been doing well not just by pandemic-era standards but all on its own, too. The film set a new Labor Day record with its 94.7 million four-day opening, and as the second-biggest opening of 2021, behind Marvel’s own Black Widow.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has surpassed $360 million in global ticket sales, and is heading for Black Widow’s $378.4 million box office number. Make sure to check out our feature, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Explained: What Does It Mean…
